MabSelect™ [mab-suh-leckt]
The protein A affinity chromatography resin that’s captivating.
When you’re doing large-scale bioprocessing, you need your protein A affinity chromatography resin to not only be productive, but powerful. In other words, you need MabSelect™ resins. Known as the choice in mAb manufacturing processes and clinical development, the MabSelect™ portfolio is not only proven and trusted, but also has high-binding capacity and high-alkaline stability. That means you can produce more at a lower cost, increasing the potential to meet – or exceed – your commercial manufacturing needs. You’re welcome.
What do you get when you combine Staphylococcus aureus and Scandinavian scientists? Protein A.
No, this isn’t a story about anyone getting a staph infection. Instead, it’s the story about how in 1958, Danish scientist Clas Jenssen mistook the molecule protein A as a polysaccharide, then named Fraction A. Four years later, the Norwegian team of Löfquist and Sjöquist took a closer look, ultimately leading them to change the name to Protein A, because it was found in Fraction A of the Staphylococcus aureus extracts. And that’s pretty A-mazing.
MabSelect PrismA™ chromatography resin
While you may not be able to control the stability of the economy or even your relationships, the good news is you can control your alkaline stability. In fact, we’ve been told no other protein A resin compares to the stability provided by MabSelect PrismA™. The resins are also supported by verified AxiChrom™ column packing protocols, providing a unique ecosystem for mAb purification. Take a look.
