NHS-Activated Sepharose 4 Fast Flow is used to couple ligands with primary amino groups to create affinity chromatography resins. It is particularly suited for immobilizing small protein and peptide ligands in process-scale applications.

To couple proteins, wash the resin to remove isopropanol, then mix it with the ligand containing primary amino groups. The NHS group on the resin forms a stable amide bond with the ligand.

The ligand concentration ranges approximately from 16 to 23 µmol NHS/mL resin, indicating a high degree of substitution.

Store the resin in 100% isopropanol at 2°C to 8°C, in an explosion-proof environment if necessary, to maintain its high activity for up to 34 months.
